We are back!!! :)

Janelyn Rouse Dearing---7 months old!

I'm thinking I've been replaced :)

Such sweetness in her eyes!

Janelyn & me enjoying a pretty day of sunshine!

Hello everyone!! In the last few months, we have had many changes in our lives...and it's been hard to keep up with our blog! We moved to our dream place...our farm on Rouse Road...January 1st! We LOVE it!!! Being out in the country has always been where Brad & I wanted to raise our children...and with God's grace and abundance, we are getting to do just that!!!! :) This new found sunshine has really made us love being out in the country. Janelyn and I love to go on walks with Nana. It's amazing how much fun we'll have over the years, raising our kids just where I was raised!

Our sweet Beauty is 7 months old, now!!!! We know, we know....how could she possibly have grown so fast!!! Since becoming parents, our lives have flown by more than ever, but we strive each week to spend as much time as we can together, just the 3 of us! It's so much fun loving something so sweet!--and that she is! :) Everywhere we go, she flashes that beautiful smile and everyone just talks about how precious she is! We think so, too!!! It's daily we talk about how blessed we are to have such a happy, content little girl!

Just some updates on our princess....Janelyn weighs almost 18 lbs, now and learns something new everyday! She has been sitting up on her own for months and is trying constantly to start crawling! (Secretly I wish she'd never crawl...haha!, then I'm no longer in control!! j/k!) She has two sweet teeth, that she and I both worked hard to get here! :) She is saying "mamamamamamama...." and it melts my heart! She loves to laugh out loud and thinks her Papaw is the funniest thing in this world, especially when he whispers to her..."you're pretty like your Papaw." My favorite parts of every day are going to her in the mornings when she wakes up so happy...and loving her sweetness as I put her to bed at night. She still loves her Baby Einsteins, but now she sits and rocks on her butt, laughing out loud at the bright colors on the screen! She still loves to be swaddled while she sleeps--and Brad and I have promised each other that she can be swaddled for the rest of her life if she desires! :) She is enjoying her sippy cup, but hates solid foods, so Mommy has decided I'll have to go with her to college to feed her!---haha, now that is hilarious! She seems so stubborn when it comes to eating solids, but I'm determined enough to try every day and eventually win this war! Her face lights up anytime Brad or I enter the room, but I can promise you that she's partial to Mommy :). I'll enjoy it as long as I can, because I'm sure she'll become a Daddy's girl, soon. She thinks her name is Beauty because that's what I always call her. She loves to be sung to...and play in the bathtub! There's not much she doesn't enjoy, except eating solid foods, of course! :) We are more than blessed to have such a wonderful experience as parents and we thank God everyday for giving us such an angel! We hope each of you are doing wonderful! As always, thanks so much for keeping up with our blog...hopefully I will do better at keeping it updated!! Loves, Brad, Rachel, & Janelyn

Happy 4 months old!!!

I just can't believe it!! Janelyn will be 4 months old tomorrow! What a fun 4 months her Daddy and I have shared as we've watched her grow and learn...and quickly become a little lady! This has been an experience like no other and we cherish every second with such a beauty!

She is learning new things every day and has started wanting to try to sit on her own! It all happens so fast! She loves her exersaucer and still loves to stand! Those fat, bowl-legged legs are too cute! She's become a chunk! I can't wait to see how much she weighs at her next Dr.'s visit! We'll go in the next week or so.

She is such a happy girl and LOVES to be talked to! She has been giggling up a storm lately and that is so much fun! She is trying her best to roll over from her back to her belly! She grunt and goes on...like it's just the hardest thing in the world to do! She's always been Miss Nosey, but she's even more observant, now and is turning her head in a circle with every new noise!

We should be closing on our new house this Thursday! Please say a little prayer that everything FINALLY goes through--and we'll not be homeless anymore! :( haha! j/k! We could never thank my parents enough for allowing us to move in on top of them for the past 2 months! I think we've all 5 enjoyed it way more than we had planned! We are excited to get moved in to our new home and adapt to living on our farm! Having a wide, open place to roam is gonna be so much fun and Brad looks so forward to "having our own space"...and that we will! :) God has worked in so many ways in our lives this year! It's been amazing!

I will update Christmas/Holiday pictures, soon! I hope you enjoy watching her as she grows! We are having the time of our life being her parents and we appreciate each of you for loving us and loving Janelyn!

Enjoying her time on her tummy! She's getting so big...so fast!!!

Our big girl is learning how to sit on her own! :(

Chillin' out with Papaw! She loves him!!

HAHA! Janelyn in her ZZ Top shirt Papaw got her...and of course her cheap sunglasses! Love it!!

She loves to drive her car!! :)

Janelyn watching "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" with Papaw & Nicholas--she never moved the entire movie! :)

Janelyn is 3 months old!!

Yesterday, Janelyn celebrated her 3 month old mark! She is doing so well at the babysitter's while Mommy is at work! Her babysitter's name is Elizabeth, but all the kids call her Sissy. Sissy loves taking care of Janelyn and says she's such a sweet, happy baby! That means so much to Brad & me for her to be a joy for others to care for her! Sissy has her on a good routine at her house and that is so important to us as well. When it's time to pick her up from a fun day with all the other children, she is worn out!! She normally naps in the evenings for about an hour. That helps her get through til it's time to take a bath and go to bed! It's so hard being a baby! :)

I am truly enjoying my new job at PMG. It's been such a blessing to work with such wonderful, caring people! I also love not being too far away from Janelyn while I'm at work. My Mom has been such a blessing to me, as she picks her up most days from Sissy's. I can't begin to thank my parents enough for allowing us to live with them and invade their quiet, peaceful home for the past month!!! They have been a tremendous help to Brad & me...I hope I'm not getting too spoiled! :)

We are due to close on our new house in just a couple of weeks. 2 weeks from today, actually!! We are thrilled...and very ready for the process to be over with!! All I want is a Christmas tree...I can't wait to put one up at our new house! I'll be sure to post lots of pictures! :)

Brad & I have joined a new Sunday School class and we are really enjoying our time with new friends! Janelyn has been going to the church nursery and they little ladies just love her there. It's a nice break for the 2 of us...and it's great to see her being so well taken care of.

These are just a few of the new, fun things going on in our lives! We're looking forward to our final move and we're excited about making our new house our home. God has been sooooooooo good to us! His blessings keep flowing and we're so undeserving! We work hard for what we have, but know that without His love and faithfulness, we would be nothing! Praise You Lord for loving us!

We are praying you are each doing well during this precious time of the year! This year has been super busy for us, but so much fun! Thanks for sharing in our loves & fun...we look forward to many, many more blessings!! Enjoy Janelyn's updated pictures! Wish you could all be here to see just how precious she is!! Loves, Brad & Rachel

She enjoys playing her exersaucer! Learning to reach for the toys is so much fun! :)

She's so strong on her tummy, now!

Brad is helping her stand up! She loves to stand and prefers that over sitting!

After busy days at work, Mommy is so excited to come home to such a happy, smiling face! She loves for me to come home...and I love more than anything to spend time with her in the evenings!

She is starting to grasp at all sorts of things and loves to do it! She enjoys play time in this bouncy seat! It's so fun to watch her explore and grow!!

Here, Janelyn is almost 3 months old! I love this picture because she looks so "tough" haha! She's starting to sit up by herself for a few seconds at a time. She's growing so fast and getting so strong! She loves her independence! :)

She's such a happy girl! :) and she and Brad laugh together all the time! It's so fun for me to watch!

Janelyn LOVES her Papaw! He sings to her, dances with her, and enjoys making her laugh!

The sweetest baby calf I've ever seen! :)

Janelyn is 2 months old!

Janelyn is 2 months old!! Yesterday, we went to the Dr for her 1st shots. She did so great!! She barely even whimpered...which made it much easier on Mommy!! So far she has done great and hasn't even been fussy. I know the older they get, the harder shots will be. It's funny how the Tylenol we've had to give her totally chills her out! She looks like she is zoned in her own little world! :) Luckily, she hasn't had to have any today, so hopefully we'll continue to do great!

Dr. Ward says she's such a strong little girl!! She weighs 10 lbs, 2 ounces now and is 23 1/4 inches long!! He says she's long for her age and expects her to be tall. Who knows!

We have been working on her taking bottles of pumped breastmilk because Mommy goes back to work in 2 weeks. Boo-hoo!! It's hard to believe my time at home is almost over. Janelyn will do great at the babysitter's, though. I'm expecting it to be harder on me than her!

She has been sleeping around 10-12 hours per night for the past 2 weeks. What a blessing for Mommy!! She wakes up with a smile and is so happy throughout the day! It's so nice that she is a wonderful sleeper!

We are in the process of selling our house and will be moving in with my parents until our new house closes. We are looking very forward to these changes! We will post more about that later! Hope everyone is enjoying this Fall season with your families!

Spoiling her rotten! :)

Laughing at Daddy!

She enjoys spending time in the evening with her Daddy! She's getting so big!!

She's so funny sitting in her Bumbo seat! She loves it!! It helps strengthen her muscles so Mommy loves it, too!!

Janelyn is such a happy girl & loves to smile! It's fun when we capture them!

Our trip to the Mountains!

We love our family!

We had a great time relaxing by the river on the blanket!

Sharing kisses from Daddy...his kisses are the best!

Mommy & Janelyn sharing girl secrets! :)

Mommy & Daddy enjoyed our lunch while Janelyn slept! Today was family day! All day!! It was so wonderful! Brad & I loaded Baby J up this morning and headed up to Gatlinburg to the Smoky Mountain National Park. We have had alot going on lately, between packing our house up, working on paper work for the new house, my interviews for my new job, and Brad being back to work...it just doesn't seem that we've had as much time as we want for "us" as a family, so today was such a breath of fresh air! :)
We took our blankets and picked up some KFC chicken and had a nice picnic by the bubbling river! It was great! Perfect weather & a perfect day for us! Janelyn seemed to enjoy the breeze and resting on the blanket with Mommy & Daddy. Brad & I were quiet and just enjoyed getting away from the daily stresses and soaking up each other & our sweet baby girl. Days like today make us realize how blessed we are and the importance of taking time away to enjoy the small things in life! We hope each of you take time to do the same! :)

"This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; in its place is something that you have left behind...let it be something good." ~author unknown
